Hoh, People of the River

Jefferson County

The Olympic Rainforest, Pacific Ocean and the Hoh River has sustained the Hoh River People for thousands of years. The Village is a small fishing community located at the mouth of the Hoh River, just south of Forks.

The people today still dig out canoes and preserve their catch in smokehouses. Authentic Native-made baskets and beautifully beaded items are on display and sold at the tribal center.
